Software Developer, Junior The Opportunity: As a Junior Software developer, you can work independently with some guidance to resolve a problem with a complete end-to-end solution in a fast, agile environment. We’re looking for an experienced developer like you with object-oriented programming skills needed to develop, test, and deploy software. This role is more than just coding. As a Junior Software developer at Booz Allen, you’ll use your passion to master new tools and techniques and identify needed system improvements. You’ll help clients overcome their most difficult challenges using the latest architectural approaches, tools, and technologies. You’ll make sure the solution developed by the team considers the current architecture and operating environment, as well as future functionality and enhancements. You Have: 1+ year of experience in software development Experience in creating solutions to problems within a collaborative, cross-functional team Knowledge of databases and Object-Relational Mapping (ORM) frameworks Knowledge of programming languages, including C#, Python, or Java Knowledge of version control, including Git Knowledge of REST APIs TS/SCI clearance HS diploma or GED Ability to obtain a DoD 8570 IAT II Certification, including Security+, within 30 days of start date Nice If You Have: Experience with DevSecOps CI/CD tools, including GitLab Experience with C#, .NET and .NET Core, Web API, MVC, or LINQ Experience with database technologies, including SQL Server, PostgreSQL, or MongoDB Experience with Scripting languages, including PowerShell or Python Experience with JavaScript libraries and frameworks, including jQuery, d3, React, or Vue Experience with Containers, including Docker or Kubernetes Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field Clearance: Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; TS/SCI clearance is required. Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $52,900.00 to $108,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
