Responsibilities - Responsible for fostering a fun environment.
- Responsible for being a gracious host to all guests and co-workers.
- Responsible for promoting a positive influence in the community and participating in company-sponsored events.
- Ensure interactions with internal and external guests follow the guidelines of the ACES Service Program.
- Strip and wax floors to include base boards.
- Shampoo and spot clean carpeted areas.
- Normal and deep cleaning of inside/outside of ovens, inside/outside of hoods, flat top, broilers, under and behind coolers, counters and tables, wall, ceiling, and any and all items that come into contact with food and food preparation.
- Clean/filter/dump fryers on a set schedule.
- Ensure proper storage of equipment, chemicals and restaurant supplies in compliance with departmental, company and OSHA standards, in the dish and pot rooms, kitchens, mop rooms and trash dock. This includes but is not limited to china, glassware, silverware, trash cans, trash dumpsters, pots & pans.
- Ensure the proper stocking and restocking of all food line china and utensils before, during and after the restaurant hours of operation.
- Maintain the cleanliness of the Backstage Cafe area including stocking dishes, food items, napkins, cups, etc.
- Use extractor equipment, floor scrubbers, shampoo machines, polishing machines, special vacuum cleaners and scrubbers.
- Move office equipment and items as directed.
- Clean interior and exterior windows.
- High degree of customer contact.
- Clean signage, light fixtures, vents, decorative greenery, railings, artwork and elevators.
- Comply with state, company, and department policies and regulations.
- Other duties, as needed.
Requirements - Must be 21 or older.
- Must have outgoing, energetic and enthusiastic attitude.
- Must enjoy hosting others.
- Must be comfortable initiating conversations and creating a fun environment with our guests.
- Excellent oral communication skills.
- General knowledge of chemicals, shampoos, strippers and wax preferred.
- Working knowledge of heavy-duty equipment.
- Ability to work at heights up to 40 feet.
- Previously held a position as cleaner, or equivalent.
- Previous janitorial experience preferred.
- Have workable knowledge of dishwashing, proper sanitation.
- Proven guest service skills and experience.
- Must be able to tolerate areas containing secondhand smoke, varying noise and temperature levels, illumination, vibration, crowds, and air quality.
- Must have open availability including all three shifts, weekends, and holidays.
- Physically mobile with reasonable accommodations including ability to push, pull, carry and lift up to 50 lbs., and the ability to push, pull, reach, bend, twist, stoop, stack, crouch, kneel and balance when performing job duties in varying work areas such as confined spaces.
