Overview :

Bon Appetit is the leader in the manufacturing and distribution of high-quality bakery items nationwide. The Southern California Operations have experienced steady growth over the past several years and is currently expanding operations.

Reporting to the Sr. Controls Engineer, the Electrical Helper will provide support to electricians and other electrical professionals in the installation, commissioning, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

·         Assisting electricians, operators and mechanics in electrical tasks.

·         Running wiring and conduit.

·         Assembling and installing electrical components.

·         Maintain tools, equipment and supplies in clean working order.

·         Perform basic troubleshooting and diagnostics on control systems, including PLCs, HMIs, motor drives, and electrical devices.

·         Test and calibrate instrumentation devices, sensors, and electrical components used in the control systems.

·         Participate in equipment modification and improvement projects as part of the continuous improvement initiatives within the bakery.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Understanding of electrical codes and workplace safety regulations, as well as the ability to work in compliance with relevant standards.
• Experience in electrical work.
• Familiarity with electrical tools.
• Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work efficiently both independently and within a team environment.
• Ability to work at heights, in confined spaces, and in various weather conditions.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.
• Valid Driver License.
• Able to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends if needed.
• Lift up to 50 lbs, bend, squat, and stretch to move boxes, parcels, and shipments.
• Climb small to medium flights of stairs multiple times a day.
• Standing for extended periods of time.
• Ability to speak Spanish a plus.
