Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions. The CCTV Operator is responsible for the successful completion of CCTV processes. The incumbent operates CCTV and other machines used in inspections. Responsibilities Load and prepare equipment for upcoming jobs. Set up and operate sewer cleaning equipment, including lifting, carrying, pulling hoses, climbing onto units for setup and minor maintenance, and standing, kneeling, or bending for long periods. Operate various handheld and hand-operated equipment such as power tools and shovels. Work outdoors in all types of weather conditions and terrain year-round. Operate mobile television and chemical sealing units to conduct internal sewer line inspections and seal defects, preventing water infiltration. Place traffic cones and other barricades at job sites; remove manhole covers and examine manholes to determine proper setup procedures. Locate line sections to be inspected using maps, determine setup procedures, set up winches, determine skid size, install proper skid, plug line if necessary, thread cable through sewer lines, and place camera inside manhole to televise the sewer line. Operate and adjust camera controls to obtain optimum clarity and contrast, prepare descriptions of each sewer defect, and record pertinent data. Determine supplies necessary for the daily operation of the TV truck and equipment; assist with mixing chemicals. Prepare packer, connect necessary cables to packer, and operate sealing unit to release sealing compound. Remove camera, hoses, and packing from line when inspection or sealing operations are completed. Clean and store camera, chemicals, and equipment on the van truck after use. Experience and Education High school diploma or equivalent desired. Minimum of 1 year of related experience or training. Additional Requirements Possession of, or ability to obtain, a valid State of Residence Driver’s License within two weeks of employment. Candidates must pass criminal and Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) background checks and a pre‑employment drug screen.
