The role

Our team in Le Sueur, MN is seeking an Operations Bilingual Trainer / Translator to act as a liaison to our employees, ensuring a quality onboarding experience, continuous improvement throughout our facility, and contribute to building a sense of employee community and belonging.

This position translates spoken and written instruction, or at times video content, for our Spanish speaking team members. The Operations Trainer/Translator works directly with our Human Capital and Operations teams.

• Starting Pay of $23.78 an hour

• 8-hour day shift, with some flexibility on schedule

• Double time on Sundays

• $1.50/hour night shift differential

Essential Duties for this position

• Ensure onboarding experience is positive for new hires and track competency trainings.

• Draft SOPs and job content as necessary to enhance work quality.

• Assist Human Capital in conducting two-week new hire check-ins and capture data.

• Facilitate orientation and onboarding process for Hispanic employees who do not speak English.

• Translate Quality and Safety practices/methods to our Spanish speaking employees.

• Translate for purposes of open enrollment, VIBE survey, company programs/initiatives.

Other Duties and Responsibilities:

Understand and adhere to Good Manufacturing Practices and Standard Operating Procedures, such as:

• Safety Protocols

• Stop any observed unsafe acts and obey facility safety rules and procedures.

• Correct or report any observed safety hazards.

• Support safety policies and programs.

Profile sought

Education Required

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.

Experience Required

• Ability to speak, read, and write fluently in both English and Spanish required.

• Effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to management and coworkers.

• High level of interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential situations and documentation.

• Understanding of Quality Assurance and Safety standards in a manufacturing environment.

• Exhibit a professional manner in dealing with others and work to maintain constructive working relationships.

• Experience directly working within a Manufacturing environment.

• Demonstrated experience working in a Trainer role, or taking on similar responsibilities in a prior role preferred.

• Experience working within Microsoft Office Suite, including but not limited to Word, Excel, and PowerPoint programs.

• Our presence in Le Sueur, MN, consists of the following locations: Le Sueur Cheese, Le Sueur Ingredients, and the Le Sueur Protein Research Center.

• Our cheese facility produces various types of cheese, including cheddar, Monterey Jack, Asiago, Fontina, Parmesan and Romano. Our ingredients facility runs various whey streams, including; whey protein isolate (WPI), whey protein concentrate 34 (WPC 34), whey protein concentrate 80 (WPC 80) and both pharma and food-grade lactose.
