Position Summary The salary range for this position is $62,892.00 to $74,724.00, most candidates start at $62,892.00. This position is full‑time, permanent, classified, overtime‑eligible with Pierce College District at Joint Base Lewis‑McChord and may be eligible for remote work after a 6‑month probationary period. The Student Success Coach reports directly to the Director of Advising and Advocacy and requires regular and consistent attendance. Responsibilities and Scope The Student Success Coach (SSC) serves in a key role for the success of students pursuing their education at Pierce College at JBLM and other locations. The SSC provides advising and student support to a caseload of students with a primary focus on military‑connected students (servicemembers, spouses, dependents, and veterans). The SSC serves as a liaison with multiple military education partners on the installation, as well as those located in other geographic areas around the world. The SSC works under the general direction of the Director of Advising & Advocacy. Advancing the equity‑centered mission: The SSC works to advance the equity‑centered mission of Pierce College through purposeful focus on serving marginalized students, commitment to Black and Brown Excellence, and relational engagement to close college access gaps and areas of inequity to increase retention, degree completion, university transfer and workforce readiness. Collaboration with Student Engagement Services: The SSC will work in close collaboration with Pierce College's Student Engagement Services team to support student engagement and belonging. Guided Pathways: Within the Guided Pathways framework, the SSC engages in culturally sustaining practices that center racial equity to remove barriers and support students in successfully navigating the Pierce College experience. The SSC provides expertise, builds relationships, helps identify interests and needs, develops a Graduation Plan, and advances strategies, skills, and self‑efficacy that lead to individual and community growth and success. #J-18808-Ljbffr Pierce College District
