Job Title: Quality Control Technician
Location: Long Beach, CA
Type: Temp-to-Perm
Shift & Schedule: Varied Shifts | Day / Evening / Night
Pay Rate: $25 - $30/hr (Based on Experience)
Position Overview:
Navitas Healthcare, LLC is seeking a Quality Control Technician for an exciting Temp-to-Perm opportunity in Long Beach, CA.
Responsibilities
Clean, decontaminate, inspect, assemble, sterilize, and prepare surgical instruments and medical equipment.
Receive, sort, and process used surgical instruments following established infection control procedures.
Inspect instruments for cleanliness, functionality, and damage prior to sterilization.
Assemble instrument trays and ensure proper sterilization using autoclaves and related equipment.
Maintain accurate sterilization records and documentation.
Label, store, and distribute sterile instruments to operating rooms and clinical departments.
Follow infection prevention, safety, and quality control standards at all times.
Support surgical teams by ensuring sterile instruments are available when needed.
Required Qualifications
High School Diploma or equivalent required.
Strong knowledge of sterilization techniques, infection control, and surgical instrumentation.
Ability to follow strict safety and quality control protocols.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
Preferred Qualifications
Minimum 1 year of sterile processing experience, preferably in a hospital or surgical setting.
Completion of a Sterile Processing Technician training program preferred.
CRCST (HSPA) Certification preferred or required per facility guidelines.
CPR/BLS Certification preferred.
Experience with hospital instrument tracking systems or sterile processing software preferred.
