Amazon is a fast growing business in need of a Senior Executive Recruiter to help the business scale by recruiting top leaders for executive level positions across WW Amazon Stores (WWAS). There is no greater reward in search than seeing your hired candidates have a significant, positive impact on the business. Responsibilities Own and execute executive level (Director and Vice President) searches. Conduct research to map target companies and top talent for Amazon. Create unique and robust search strategies to identify and attract the best and brightest. Develop innovative ways to raise the bar on how Amazon recruits talent. Calibrate candidates with hiring managers and senior leaders. Develop prospects into candidates through engagement and assessment. Continually contribute to the knowledge base of executive recruiting and Amazon, by providing education on relevant industries and talent pools. Build out talent networks and tap industry sources to develop an ongoing pool of candidates. Lead client update meetings on active searches. Conduct on‑site interviews, participate in debriefs, perform 360 reference checks, and present employment offers on behalf of Amazon. Provide strategic guidance and advice in partnership with executive leadership. Critical Success Factors Research: Learn new technology and product domains quickly; apply knowledge to effective search strategies. Communication: Engage executive stakeholders and articulate complex arguments in a polished manner. Tact & High Judgement: Apply the right pressure and know when to move on. Self‑Assured: Handle highly confidential searches with senior leadership without being thrown off guard. Focus and Deliverables for the First 12 Months Full Amazon immersion: learn our business models, competencies, and leadership principles. Develop search strategies, conduct research, perform thorough assessments, and present qualified candidates for executive searches. Learn Amazon’s overall needs across functional areas and develop strategies for individual and team success in identifying and attracting senior‑level talent. This position is based in Seattle. Basic Qualifications 5+ years of advising and influencing executive leadership. 7+ years of progressive corporate or search firm recruiting experience with a focus on passive engineering candidate generation in high‑tech markets. 7+ years of recruiting with focus on engineering, technical operations, and product management. Bachelor’s degree or higher. Experience building and driving talent‑sourcing initiatives and pipelines. Experience creating, measuring, and scaling workflows among candidates, hiring managers, and recruiting teams. Experience managing and prioritizing multiple searches, projects and client relationships. Experience in progressive corporate or search firm recruiting with a focus on passive engineering candidate generation in a high‑tech market. Experience managing and prioritizing multiple searches, projects and client relationships. Preferred Qualifications 5+ years of performing team‑building, coaching, and managing experience. Experience recruiting passive candidates who are the most senior experts in their field. Experience with executive recruiting in a blue‑chip, global in‑house executive search team or a top executive search firm. Experience working with recruiting and people‑related tools, CRM systems, and complex spreadsheets.
