ICU Nurse - Intensive Care Unit

Schedule: Nights 18:45 – 07:15

Assignment Details:

• Contract Length: 13 weeks
• Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours/week for 3×12s or 48 hours/week for 4×12s

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years ICU nursing experience
• Valid Illinois nursing license required at the time of submission
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIH/NIHSS
• Experience with CRRT/CVVHD management, hypothermia protocols, IABP management, endotracheal intubation assistance, and ventilator care
• Preferred experience in post-cardiac surgery care and Swan/PA catheter management
• Experience with EPIC charting

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to critically ill patients in the ICU setting.
• Monitor and document patient status and response to treatments.
• Administer medications and manage IV infusions.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Assist with various procedures and interventions, adhering to hospital protocols.
• Educate patients and families on health conditions and post-treatment care.

Compliance / Notes:

• No local candidates accepted within a 75-mile radius.
• COVID-19 vaccine not required; Flu vaccine required (with exemptions allowed).
• RTO: No RTO first week; max 7 days RTO per 13-week contract.
• Facial hair must allow proper fit testing (may be required to shave).
• Free parking available.
