Registered Nurse (RN)
Near Downtown Dallas, TX

Primary Purpose
The Registered Nurse (RN) is a licensed professional responsible for coordinating patient care delivery through collaboration with the healthcare team. Using the nursing process, the RN assesses patients, identifies nursing diagnoses, develops and implements individualized care plans, and evaluates patient outcomes. This role ensures safe, efficient transitions throughout the healthcare experience, minimizing preventable complications or delays. The RN delegates care in accordance with the Texas Nursing Practice Act, patient needs, and staff competencies.

Minimum Qualifications

Education

  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing

Experience

  • Nine (9) months of professional nursing experience preferred
  • Candidates with less than 9 months of RN experience must complete a Nurse Residency Program
  • LVN experience does not substitute for RN experience requirement

Licensure/Certification

  • Current RN license or valid temporary permit with the Texas Board of Nursing, or a valid Compact RN license
  • Current BLS (Basic Life Support) for Healthcare Providers from one of the following:
    • American Heart Association
    • American Red Cross

Skills & Abilities

  • Delivers patient care in accordance with the Texas Nursing Practice Act, established protocols, and clinical standards
  • Provides ongoing patient assessment and collaborates with interdisciplinary team members
  • Demonstrates patient-centered, compassionate care
  • Exercises sound clinical judgment and decision-making
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and basic computer skills required
  • Ability to effectively communicate with patients and families
  • Knowledge of specialty care standards, as applicable

Key Responsibilities

  • Advocate for patients by upholding their rights, preferences, and confidentiality
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with patients, families, and healthcare team members
  • Educate patients and families on care plans and health management
  • Serve as a clinical resource and participate in community outreach activities as needed
  • Maintain knowledge of infection control, safety standards, and proper use of equipment and supplies
  • Ensure accurate, timely documentation in patient records and organizational systems
  • Collaborate with team members and seek guidance when appropriate
  • Support the mission, vision, and values of the Organization
