Real Estate Appraiser I Responsibilities Conduct field data collection and perform less‑complex appraisal work; create and maintain computerized files and records; assist the public with real‑estate appraisal questions. Qualifications General knowledge of real‑estate appraisal processes, building and land values, state laws, charter provisions and county ordinances relating to real property assessing, and the Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice (USPAP). Ability to analyze factors that influence property value and exercise judgment in determining those values; ability to write clear and concise reports; ability to deal effectively with the public and associates; computer skills and training in CAMA software and database maintenance. High‑school graduation plus two years of real‑property appraisal experience, or college graduation preferably with courses in real‑estate appraisal, or an equivalent combination of experience and training. Ability to pass IAAO101 within the first year of employment. Successful completion of a pre‑employment physical/drug test and criminal background check, including fingerprinting.
