Overview We are looking for a Senior Power BI Developer to develop and build a capacity management system for the prison operations of the US Marshals Service (USMS). In this position, you will come into the project from inception and have a strong voice in the look and feel of the system. Responsibilities Develop and implement BI solutions using the Microsoft Analytics Stack (Power BI, SQL Server, SSAS Tabular, SSRS, Power Query, T-SQL) to support detention operations. Assess business needs, define requirements, and create queries, dashboards, and reports with advanced visualizations to aid day-to-day data management and decision making. Collaborate with stakeholders to refine requirements and drive the product from inception through delivery in an agile environment. Ensure appropriate data modeling, ETL processes, data warehouse concepts, and security/access controls for report access. Qualifications Onsite work requirement. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related discipline. 7–10 years of experience as a BI developer, including data warehouse and BI tools. 5+ years of experience designing, building, and implementing BI solutions with visual reports/dashboards and scheduling reports/direct query. Strong experience with Microsoft Analytics Stack (SQL Server, SSAS Tabular, SSRS, Power BI, Power Query, SQL, T-SQL). Proficient in DAX. Advanced knowledge of data modeling, ETL, and data warehouse concepts. Experience with access control and security considerations for reports. Knowledge of data mining, clustering, and statistical modeling is preferred. Knowledge of SQL data warehouse, Visual Studio, SharePoint, .NET, and Azure. Strong analytical skills and ability to translate data into informative visuals and reports. Experience delivering software in an agile development environment with stakeholder collaboration. Strong prototyping, design, and requirements analysis skills. Excellent documentation and organizational skills; detail oriented. Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
