Equipment: Flatbed / Step Deck / RGN

This position focuses on oversized and heavy-haul freight , including construction equipment, large machinery, and over-dimensional loads. Ideal for experienced owner-operators who understand the complexity of permitted freight.

Key Responsibilities:

• Transport oversized/overweight loads in compliance with federal and state regulations
• Secure freight using chains, binders, straps, and tarps when required
• Plan routes based on permit restrictions, bridge laws, and road limitations
• Coordinate with dispatch on escort (pilot car) requirements
• Maintain proper documentation for each load (permits, routing, compliance forms)
• Conduct thorough pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip inspections
• Ensure compliance with DOT regulations and safety standards

Oversize Compliance Includes:

• Height, width, and weight permit adherence
• Escort vehicle coordination when required
• Travel time restrictions (daylight hours, curfews, weather conditions)
• State-by-state routing differences

Requirements:

• Valid CDL-A
• Minimum 2 years flatbed experience (heavy haul preferred)
• Experience with oversized/permit loads strongly preferred
• Own truck (RGN or step deck preferred but not required)
• Ability to manage securement and safety compliance independently
