We seek a dedicated and driven associate attorney to join our highly collegial and collaborative legal team. Our ideal candidate will possess at least one year of employment and commercial litigation experience and will be self-motivated, demonstrate initiative, communicate clearly and effectively, and desire to be part of a team. As an associate, you will have the opportunity to manage cases from intake through trial, counsel clients, develop case strategy, and receive mentorship and training, all while maintaining a work/life balance with reasonable hours. Responsibilities

• Draft pleadings and briefs, research legal issues, and provide analysis to support case preparation and strategy.
• Conduct discovery, attend hearings, and prepare cases for trial.
• Assist senior attorneys in litigation processes and case management.
• Draft, review, and negotiate legal documents, including contracts and agreements.
• Stay updated on changes in laws relevant to practice areas such as employment law.
• Provide guidance on employment and corporate matters to clients.
• Collaborate with colleagues on complex cases to ensure comprehensive representation.

Skills and Requirements

• Active California bar membership in good standing.
• JD from an ABA accredited law school.
• 1-5 years of experience in employment and commercial litigation preferred, including but not limited to, wage and hour, FEHA, and PAGA actions.
• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
• Superior analytical, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
• Adept in conducting legal research using various tools and databases.
• Exceptional organizational skills with attention to detail.
• Experience in a law firm setting preferred.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team while balancing individual responsibilities and completing tasks accurately and on time.
