Mission Health, a leading healthcare provider based in Asheville, NC, is seeking a dedicated CVOR Circulator Registered Nurse to join our Healthcare & Medical Services team. In this role, you will function as a key member of the cardiovascular operating room team, coordinating and delivering safe, evidence-based nursing care to patients undergoing cardiac and vascular surgical procedures. The CVOR Circulator RN is responsible for pre-, intra-, and post-operative circulating duties, including verifying consents, conducting pre-operative assessments, preparing the operating room, ensuring proper equipment and supplies are available, and upholding strict sterile and infection prevention standards. During procedures, you will advocate for the patient, monitor patient status, manage documentation, support the surgical team, and communicate effectively with anesthesia, surgeons, and support staff to anticipate needs and ensure smooth case flow. You will also participate in patient handoffs to the ICU, step-down, or recovery areas, providing accurate and timely reports to promote continuity of care. This position requires strong critical thinking skills, the ability to multitask in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment, and a commitment to patient safety and quality outcomes.
