Job Title: CNC Machinist

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled CNC Mill Machinist to join our team on the 1st shift. This position is based in an FAA Safety Sensitive MRO (Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul) shop, focusing mainly on bench work rather than direct aircraft interaction. You will work with components, inlets, and flight controls, installing various fasteners on aircraft in a structural aspect.

Responsibilities

• Run the machining department utilizing CNC Tormach Mill, Manual Lathe, and Manual Mill.
• Edit and program using Fusion 360, which is similar to MASTERCAM.
• Read and interpret blueprints accurately.
• Utilize measurement tools such as micrometers and calipers.
• Focus on job shop machining primarily working with aluminum over production machining.
• Perform MIG welding to create fixtures, excluding any aircraft welding.

Essential Skills

• 5 years of experience programming CNC Mills.
• Proficiency in editing and programming CNC machines.
• Experience with Manual Mills and Lathes.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints.

Work Environment

Work in a dynamic MRO Shop environment on the day shift, typically starting between 5:00 am and 7:00 am, with some flexibility required. The contract is a 6-month term with the potential to hire, surrounded by a team of about 20 people. You will be the sole machinist managing three machines: a CNC Mill (Tormach), Manual Mill (Bridgeport), and Manual Lathe

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Solon, OH.

The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $36.00/hr.
