Job Description

Our client, a private high school in Wisconsin, is seeking a part-time Choir Teacher for the 2026–27 school year. This role involves teaching high school choir courses and supporting student growth in musicianship, vocal technique, and performance skills within a collaborative Fine Arts department.

The ideal candidate enjoys working with adolescents, values creativity and inclusion, and is committed to fostering students’ musical confidence and artistic expression. This educator will incorporate a wide range of musical styles and repertoire that reflect a diverse student body and promote an engaging learning experience.

Responsibilities

• Teach high school choir courses
• Create a positive, engaging classroom environment that supports musical and artistic growth
• Prepare students for concerts and performances throughout the school year
• Collaborate with Fine Arts colleagues on curriculum and performances
• Communicate effectively with students, families, and colleagues
• Support the school’s mission and core values

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university required
• Wisconsin DPI teaching license preferred (non-licensed candidates may be considered)
• Demonstrated proficiency in vocal music instruction and strong communication skills
• Experience working with high school-aged students preferred
