BallenIsles Country Club, Palm Beach Gardens, FL is seeking Full Time Bartenders to join our team! Qualified candidates must have demonstrated success in a similar service environment and dedication to quality, productivity, and attentive service to private club members and guests. Key responsibilities of the bartender include stocking the bar, mixing and serving alcoholic beverages, assisting in cost control, inventory, and maintaining inventory records. They must maintain inventory control through conscientious use and careful monitoring of all food and beverage products and communicate with management in a timely manner when supplies are needed. They ensure compliance with applicable state liquor laws and standard operating procedures provided by the management. Bartenders communicate guest requests and concerns to the Department Manager. They perform opening and closing duties which include, but are not limited to: inventory, cash control, cleaning, and restocking. They are accountable for checks and cash transactions, utilizing the Point of Sales System. They review banquet schedules for changes, calendar of events, and special events. They serve catered parties from service or portable bars and occasionally serve meals to guests. They incorporate safe work practices in job performance and perform other duties as required.
Minimum qualifications for the bartender include a high school diploma or general education degree (GED); and one year of bartending experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. They must be at least 21 years of age or older to meet state age requirements to serve alcohol. Other qualifications include knowledge of cocktail recipes and wine varieties and Alcohol Awareness Training.
