Title: R&D Technician

Location: Elk River, MN 55330

Duration: 11 Months 5/25/2026 to 4/30/2027

4 am to 12 30pm Monday to Friday

Experience HM is looking for :

• Dairy facility
• Dairy cattle exp who has milking cow
• Responsibility feeding cow animal husbandry
• Good understanding of dairy industry (Not Required)
• Mixing feed
• Excel experience
• Having ability to look email and good computer skill
• Able to lift 50 pounds

Job Description:

• Operate multiple high pressure steam boilers in a pilot plant facility.
• Operate/monitor building utilities (Chiller, RO System, DI Skid, Air compressor, Nitrogen system).
• Coordinate Maintenance and Preventative Maintenance with outside contractors.
• Authoring work permits for onsite maintenance work.
• Conducting Lock Out Tag Out (LOTO) procedures on equipment/systems.
• Active Boiler license: Special Engineer or Class 2B classification.
• Previous production, plant or R&D experience.
• FDA process experience.

Job Purpose And Impact

• The Animal Care Technician III is primarily responsible for the execution of approved protocols for animal studies in a safe, accurate and timely fashion.
• In this role, you will conduct research trials, create process models and perform statistical analysis using data collected that includes animal weight, feed information and various types of sample information.
• You will also be responsible for providing standard animal husbandry and housekeeping duties.

Key Accountabilities

• Maintain cleanliness and perform basic equipment maintenance and troubleshoot research or medical equipment to ensure proper protocols requirements.
• Contribute to continuous evaluation and improvement of experimental methodology, daily routines and procedures.
• Maintain safe working conditions in accordance to our safety program and animal welfare standards and comply with animal policies.
• Execute predefined protocols and standard operation procedures, like feeding, sample collection, animal observation, disease recognition, accurate data compilation, observations, deviations and trial quality measurement are in time and in scope.
• Handle complex clerical, administrative, technical or customer support issues under minimal supervision, while escalating only the most complex issues to appropriate staff.
• Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma, secondary education level or equivalent.
• Proficient computer skills.
• Minimum of four years of related work experience.
